Favorites For Summer

HAIR ACCESSORIES
Due to high humidity, more activity and a generally laid back attitude during the summer we all have a tendency to revert to a ponytail day after day as our go to hairstyle. In order to spice up your hair without having to go to much more trouble than that turn to the many hair accessories offered today. Hair pins, headbands and decorated hair ties are all good ideas. They are an easy way to step up your look and stylishly hide your laziness.
Remember to keep your hair moisturized with a rich conditioning cream to keep the frizz at bay.

LIGHTWEIGHT SCARVES
Scarfs are one of my favorite accessories and now, with the new lightweight cotton scarves in summery colors and patterns that are everywhere this season, I can wear them any time of the year. This version, by H&M, remind me of the vibrant sunsets of summer.

INTERESTING SANDALS
Thankfully there are many alternatives to the flip flops we run to during the summer. They are an instant pick-me-up to any summer outfit, especially sun dresses. Many of my favorites are Grecian inspired, whether they are a heavy patent leather version like those pictured on the left, or a delicate sandal as shown on the right, from Old Navy.

HOT PINK
Normally I am not one for pink, but there is something about summer that makes me want to get in touch with this girly shade.I like to add a subtle touch of it with either bright lip gloss, as shown by Estee Lauder, or as a nail polish (NYC).

CRISP PERFUMES
A crisp, summery perfume can be the perfect addition to any outfit. Match the scent with your mood, outfit and the occasion for an unforgettable ensemble.
My go to perfumes in the summer are Clinique's Happy To Be, a spunky, citrus scent, Tommy Hilfiger's Tommy Girl for a smooth, clean finish, and Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely for a girly, flowery feeling.

MOISTURIZERS
The most important things to keep in your summer closet are moisturizers of all kind. One of my favorite beauty secrets is Vitamin E Oil, which I use on my lips for incredible smoothness and shine. It's perfect for a natural, healthy and carefree look.

The lotions I rely on all year round are De La Mer for my face and Kheils Creme De Corps for body.
